Itโ€™s interesting what people think is good weekend activity: napping, relaxing, partying, cleaning, yard work, reading, movie marathonsโ€ฆ.
in reply to Katherine Bond

Since I am retired I tend to stay home for quiet weekends & go during the week. That works for me. Many places I like to go are less crowded during the week when others are at work.
in reply to Katherine Bond

When I go on weekends, Iโ€™m invariably thinking: why are all these people here?
in reply to Katherine Bond

Or because thatโ€™s their only shopping time. Iโ€™m spoiled.
in reply to Katherine Bond

A few weeks ago I went to Trader Joe's on a Sunday & was shocked to see how busy they were at that time. One of the clerks told me that it was a normal Sunday. A good reason I rarely go on a weekend @Katherine Bond.
in reply to Katherine Bond

Yep...I try to do all my errands during the week (early in the week) and early in the day. ๐Ÿ˜€
in reply to Katherine Bond

Smart. But early in the day, nope. Spent too many years waking up to an alarm.
in reply to Katherine Bond

I no longer use an alarm clock unless I have to be somewhere very early! I avoid that if at all possible @Katherine Bond.
in reply to Katherine Bond

Iโ€™ve got a couple of early morning dental appointments set up. Not looking forward to that. Maybe I can sleep through it.

"I put my garbage out the night before because they come early."

yes...same....

in reply to Katherine Bond

I put my garbage out the night before also. I never know what time they will come! We have dumpsters so I don't have to put the garbage cans out.
in reply to Katherine Bond

We're supposed to have the garbage out before 8:00 a.m. but we've been here 26 years, and they never pick up before noon at our place. Eight is too early for me. I don't like leaving it out all night.
in reply to Katherine Bond

We always put it out the night before.

If there is one night in the week it will rain, it is that night...

in reply to Katherine Bond

I do envy people with dumpsters @Donna McClure. Iโ€™ve used my obliging friendsโ€™ dumpsters when Iโ€™ve had something too big for my can. ๐Ÿ˜€
in reply to Katherine Bond

@Don Little. Our garbage men play this game where we never know when they will pick up. If you put it out the same day, they pick up at 7 a.m. and you miss them. If you put it out the night before, they pick up at 5 p.m. that day.
in reply to Katherine Bond

@Simon Ashcroft. Or snow heavilyโ€ฆor have a high wind that sends the cans down the street.
in reply to Katherine Bond

It is nice having dumpster for garbage, recycling & compost. That said people are often thoughtless about waiting until the night before to fill either garbage or recycling up with large objects. Also people often don't break down the carboard like they are suppose to, sigh! Apparently some pay no attention to the signs on each dumpster or looking it up online to see what is ok & what isn't. That said, I know I am not perfect!
@[email protected] proof that Murphy's Law is alive & well.
in reply to Katherine Bond

Iโ€™ve heard the same story from my dumpster owning friends @Donna McClure. Furniture left next to the garbage one and recycling put in garbage and vice versa. Arg.
