The fallen tree in the back yard is now providing a passageway over the water for the squirrels

Had to laugh at him.

Some day, they may actually get around to removing the tree, but in the meantime, I’m glad the squirrels find some use for it.

Or they could let nature take its course & let the tree become compost for the earth.

If it is not endangering anything that doesn't seem to be a problem. I think to often we are ready to jump in when it would be better to let nature do it's job.

It’s way too close to my bedroom window. I’m not enjoying the view. Also the guys can’t mow…once the water recedes.
in reply to Katherine Bond

That does sounds like a problem. Sadly there doesn't seem to be a rush to remove it @Katherine Bond.

Yes. The trees are on the land owned by our town, but the tree fell on our property. It’s happened before and we have to pay to remove it. In the past, the building has been damaged by falling trees.

I guess I’m getting tired of it as this is the third tree. One of them damaged my mechanical room and hot water heater inside.
